Families that want to play
together, can take the group lesson. This option is good if you have a little
more time and want to learn at a relaxed pace. Students share the experience,
will learn the same skills at a slightly slower pace, taking turns and assisting
each other. This class also shows students how to work together as a team. Each
student learn both ends of the kite and learns the launching and landing skills
necessary to being a good kite buddy. Often couples will take this class
together. And family groups will too. We require 2 people minimum and recommended
3 people maximum per
class. Participants should be at a similar experience level to each other. This
group class is a good way to include a sibling or spouse that would otherwise
sit it out. Longer courses and available on request. Equipment is included, No previous experience is required.

the fast track into the Sport for people with a limited amount of time
of challenging schedule. This course is designed for people with some prior watersports experience. The days need not be consecutive. The lesson covers
all the techniques in the Kite Intro Class, Covering the core skills. Wind
direction and site selection, Essential kite
flying skills are taught on land and in the water, including harness technique

The advanced 10-day (30hr) course
is the ultimate kiteboarding training program. The pre-requisite riding
level for entry to the advanced course is planing both directions, staying upwind
and basic jibing (IKO level 3N). This course builds on the basic skills of the
intermediate student
reinforcing a solid foundation and introducing many next level techniques.
Jumping, Jibing, freestyle, waveriding and down-looping are covered. Downwinders, and
distance for the advanced. Cabrinha®
and Naish®
performance kites will be used along with; directional, strapless, twin-tip, or wake-style
boards. This is the most advanced kiteboarding course available on Maui.

The
kids program is designed to be fun and teach the kids the basic kite flying
skills. Sharing these skills with
young kids helps prepare them of wind powered sports as they grow, and master
the necessary skills. Kids are
special, and they are fast learners. Kid can start flying on land from as
young as 5years old, and water kite from 9-12years old. (older kids can do our
regular adult lessons). We have lots of experience teaching
kite flying to young children. We have special Clinics, and activities, and mixed family
sessions. Our instructors have specialty training to prepare them for our kids
program, Our "Teaching Kiteboarding to Kids" Course is recognized by the IKO
(International Kiteboarding Organization), and is only taught at selected schools by

Our professional IKO Certified kiteboarding Instructors

The private training program is tailored to your individual needs and desires. All levels
of advanced kiteboarding instruction is available. If you have never ridden on
Maui before we strongly recommend taking some private coaching as an Orientation
class.
To
specifically request one of our Senior Instructors please add $20/hr. Our instructors can
use radio helmets from shore or ride with you, giving you on-water
instruction, advice and assistance. We teach both directional, twin-tip & wakestyle. Your choice of: Waves, Freestyle, Speed and Strapless. If you bring your
own gear, We can teach to all types of kite, Four-line, C-Kite, Five-line, Bow-Kite,
Sigma Kite, Delta Kites, Foil-Kite techniques. You have access to our complete range of the latest

Action Sports Maui's kiteboarding lessons are held at Kitebeach, Kanaha Beach park
in Kahului. Lessons
run 7days, start times are 10:30 and 2pm. Participants must be over 9years old.
Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Parent or guardian must sign
the waiver for minors under 18years old. Discounts and specials are for selected
courses only. They do not apply to requested premium instructors. To request one
